For many operators, this means either operating additional pools, increasing operational complexity and infrastructure requirements, or accepting lower rewards per pool. In practice, operators may face reduced profitability, a higher operational burden, or both.\n\nWhile the proposal is often presented as a decentralization measure, I am not convinced that stake will naturally flow to the smallest operators. In fact, if I am wrong, my own SPO would likely benefit from such a change. It is equally possible that stake simply redistributes toward medium-sized pools closer to the new saturation point.\n\nIn my view, the long-term sustainability of independent SPOs is better addressed through improvements to stake pool economics rather than further partitioning the existing reward structure. Increasing k changes how rewards are distributed, but it does not create additional value for operators or delegators.\n\nFor these reasons, I do not support this proposal."}}
