not a techie, but this seems cool. we have a lot of node client teams, which is fantastic for the ecosystem. i can't make an expert assessment on whether we need this one too, so i'll abstain

super healthy to have more dev teems do cool stuff. I don't have the expertise to assess this proposal nor do I have the time to educate myself about this before it expires. so it's gona have to be an abstain, obviously.

no brainer. every top ecosystem needs a summit, cardano is a top ecosystem. the CF has been taking on this gargantuan task since 2022 and has iterated and improved it tremendously over the past few years. connecting it to a presence at token 2049 is really smart. they've also revised the ask downwards. as a CF employee I can attest to the insane amount of work and hours that go into this and which isn't accounted for in this proposal. no brainer.

no brainer. cardano needs to maintain momentum with marketing. the unified events approach has allowed the ecosystem to pick up momentum. token 2049 2025 worked out well, 2026 is looking to be more important, especially paired with the cardano summit proposal. this is a battle tested approach to getting the best out of a core ecosystem event and tap into the broader industry. eg. solana and breakpoint or whatever other major event is always tied to a large event. no brainer. can't believe we're nitpicking this point when we're readily overspending on R&D and infra like we did in 2025.

tl:dr rationale

Protested MVG via DRep inactivity due to rushed, treasury-focused process over adoption/scalability priorities. Now voting YES for Constitutional Committee to mature governance.

Full Rationale

Since registering as a DRep, I chose to remain inactive in onchain voting to protest how Minimum Viable Governance (MVG) was established on Cardano. I believe this process has concluded with the enactment of the 39 treasury withdrawal governance actions.

My Core Concerns

• Rushed Implementation: the process was rushed and dominated by actors seeking outsized near-term benefits rather than serving the ecosystem. The focus appeared to be accessing the Cardano treasury rather than implementing comprehensive governance capabilities.
• Misplaced Priorities I believe we should have prioritized Cardano adoption and reducing barriers to it, especially addressing scalability capabilities by completing the Basho roadmap era.

Moving Forward

However, we must build from where we are. A key step forward is replacing the Interim Constitutional Committee (ICC) with a Constitutional Committee (CC).
While I would have preferred immediate onchain elections, I understand the MVG compromise through Intersect. I hope:

• Future elections occur onchain independently of a centralised actor
• The elected CC neither calcifies nor becomes a chaotic risk to governance

My Vote

By voting YES for this New Committee governance action, I vote to prevent interruptions to Cardano's governance and support its maturation.
