Objectives

Thang Tran is a software engineer and smart contract developer from Vietnam. He joined Cardano in 2021 through Catalyst and founded PAAS—an open-source platform for Plutus and Aiken contracts. He is committed to transparency, strong technical foundations, and community-driven contributions.

Motivations

I became a DRep because I believe technically grounded voices are crucial in governance. Through my experience in multiple Catalyst funding rounds, I’ve seen both the challenges and the potential of our ecosystem. I want to contribute systematic, real-world evaluations of proposals. My motivation comes from a desire to see Cardano grow more inclusive, efficient, and truly community-led.

Qualifications

I bring a strong technical background with years of experience in software and smart contract development. I founded PAAS, an open-source toolkit supporting Plutus, Marlowe, and Aiken. I’ve led several funded Catalyst projects, including bWorks (HR on-chain), cReport (community data analytics), and wallet UX tools. I share all my work publicly on GitHub (@saigonbitmaster). I value transparency, thoughtful analysis, and open collaboration in everything I do as a DRep.
