Max played a meaningful role in shaping Cardano’s governance foundations. His work on the Constitution, his leadership in the Constitutional Committee Election Working Group, and his contributions as a delegate at the Constitutional Convention helped turn abstract principles into something the community could actually live with and believe in. Article VIII exists in large part because Max insisted that community discussion, participation, and openness mattered enough to be written into the network’s DNA.
Beyond formal roles, Max was a builder of connections. Through his work with the Dutch DRep Collective, his local community engagement, and projects like AdaMoments, he reminded us that blockchains are ultimately memory machines — not just for transactions, but for people, moments, and shared history.
