Motivations

I became a DRep almost by accident: wanted to post on dreptalk.com, and registering was the honest way in. It stuck. Governance tooling gets better when the people who build it also carry a vote, feel the friction, and stand behind public decisions. So this stopped being a DRep of convenience and became a commitment. The votes I cast here are mine alone, not my employer's.

Qualifications

In Cardano since 2017, starting as ADAtainment, for years one of the best-known Cardano education projects. At the Cardano Foundation since 2019, and a member of the Parameter Committee since 2023. More than 25 years of software development, with two software companies along the way. Today I build and run multiple Cardano projects, including dreptalk.com.

OpenZeppelin gets many things right and its strong brand and developer reach could benefit Cardano. My main concern is the unclear distinction from the existing IOG Contracts Library that was recently funded.

The destination is correct. The withdrawal target of this proposal is stake1uys93fhep4lc2u6lu0q09kcxayxzthasded35c0x0w60ugc9s0cm5, which is exactly
the return address recorded on the original action.

The money goes back to the party that actually paid the deposit and to no one else. That key was registered in April 2026, so unlike in 2024 the payout can now be received.

The topic matters and the methodology looks solid, but over 4 million ada for research whose main output is a framework document is hard to justify, particularly when the proposal itself notes overlap with Input Output Research's ongoing Cardano Vision 2026 work.

The core options for DRep compensation are also already well understood and openly debated in the community, see for example: https://dreptalk.com/t/options-for-drep-compensation-and-who-should-actually-pay-fo-in60zg/

I'd rather see that already-funded research conclude first.

A Net Change Limit is meant to be a ceiling the ecosystem plans within, not a number we lift whenever one large request does not fit underneath it. If the cap goes up every time a big withdrawal arrives, it stops meaning anything.
