no brainer. cardano needs to maintain momentum with marketing. the unified events approach has allowed the ecosystem to pick up momentum. token 2049 2025 worked out well, 2026 is looking to be more important, especially paired with the cardano summit proposal. this is a battle tested approach to getting the best out of a core ecosystem event and tap into the broader industry. eg. solana and breakpoint or whatever other major event is always tied to a large event. no brainer. can't believe we're nitpicking this point when we're readily overspending on R&D and infra like we did in 2025.

The existing framework does not provide the adequate structure, clarity, or time required to make well-informed funding decisions. Moving forward, I will only vote "Yes" on initiatives that are absolutely critical to the network's immediate survival and success. I sincerely apologize to the teams who have dedicated time and effort to their proposals; you deserve a more robust evaluation system. Right now, my priority must shift from assessing standard funding requests to actively improving our governance infrastructure, ensuring we no longer have to make rushed decisions with insufficient information.

As I explained previously in past votes, I consider this (even reduced, even edited) as HUGE waste of funds. We had Community Events category in Project Catalyst - I think it's good practice to renew it and make each event go via community voting and discussion. Another option is to empower Ambassadors or DREps with (1/1000 or 1/100 of such budget).
