Voted Yes. This governance action is necessary to formally record the results of the audited Ekklesia elections on-chain and seat the remaining Constitutional Committee member.

Until all CC seats are filled, the governance system cannot function, and no governance actions can be approved. Passing this GA promptly is essential to restore full operational governance.

As we have already voted for Cardano Curia during the snap election we are happy to congratulate them with this vote.

I am voting Yes on this action to add Cardano Curia to the Constitutional Committee.

The committee dropped below the minimum size after Cardano Atlantic Council stepped down. That means it cannot ratify any actions that need committee approval. Governance has been partly stalled since epoch 597. Adding the elected member lifts the committee back to the required size and restores full governance flow.

The snap election followed the same model used earlier in the year. The process was open, verifiable, and aligned with the Constitution and CIP-1694. The audited results are published, and the elected member will serve the remainder of the original term. Nothing else in the committee structure changes.

My vote supports keeping the governance system working as intended and avoiding gaps in decision making across the network.

📌 My decision is YES. Why is this vote necessary right now?

    👉 Facts

    • Governance Action: Add Constitutional Committee Member
    • Issue: Constitutional Committee fell below the required minimum
    • Required minimum: 7 members
    • Current state after resignation: 6 members
    • Proposed solution: add Cardano Curia
    • Term expiration: Epoch 653
    • Election format: Intersect snap-election
    • Participation: 88 DReps
    • Voting stake represented: ~3.16B ADA

    👉 Why this matters

    • With fewer than 7 members, the Constitutional Committee cannot:

      • ratify budgets
      • approve Treasury Withdrawals
      • validate Net Change Limits
    • On-chain governance becomes partially frozen

👉 What this vote actually is

    • Not ideology
    • Not redistribution of funds
    • Not politics

It is a technical restoration of governance functionality.

👉 My position as a DRep

    • Governance must function before strategy can exist
    • Delays block every critical decision
    • The election followed constitutional process and was verifiable

    👉 Conclusion
Without restoring the Constitutional Committee, Cardano governance does not work.
    This vote re-enables the system.

    My vote is YES.

    Executive Summary

Expanding the Constitutional Committee by adding a member enhances governance agility and improves quorum resilience. This change ensures broader expertise, reduces potential bottlenecks in rapid decision-making, and strengthens the system’s capacity to measure DRep responsiveness as a KPI.

    Risks & Mitigation

Risk: Equality of minimum CC member parameter with CC size can endanger governance status.
Mitigation: Reduce committeeMinSize parameter to committeeMinSize = currentCommitteeSize - 1.

    Signal

Description: If this action reaches the required votes within a single epoch, it demonstrates rapid governance response and sets a benchmark for DRep engagement.

  • Yes313.8K ₳Rationale

I am voting YES to this critical governance action to add a member to CC, following the election off chain of the candidate from those who put themselves forward. It is essential to restore committee member size to 7 following the resignation of one member in order to meet the mincommitteesize7 parameter..

This action does not require a very in depth rationale. This is a straightforward yes since we need to add the extra member of the CC on order to proceed with governance.
