I’m voting yes because I believe Cardano needs to invest in foundational infrastructure before demand arrives. If Babel Fees reduces friction at the user level, Leios reduces friction at the protocol level. Adoption without scaling becomes a bottleneck.

While I recognize the cost and execution risks, I see throughput and resilience as necessary investments toward Cardano’s long-term vision. Cardano cannot reach its long-term ambitions without major scaling, and funding consensus improvements now is necessary even if adoption comes later.

I am voting in favor of the IO: Consensus Initiative. Transitioning Cardano to the Ouroboros Leios consensus protocol is a vital evolution for the network.
Cardano must move beyond its current block-production limits. I don't think anyone reading this rationale really needs a detailed primer on why this is important. Suffice to say that this initiative is a necessary and vital investment in Cardano’s future. I approve of this funding to ensure that our infrastructure can meet the demands of a global-scale economy without sacrificing our core principles of decentralization and security.

I'm rooting for Cardano Leios to be developed completely.

I support the IO: Consensus Initiative because I see Leios as one of the important pieces Cardano needs in order to grow responsibly toward the 2030 vision.
For me, this proposal is about more than performance. It is about building the kind of protocol capacity that allows Cardano to serve more people, more builders, more institutions, and more real-world use cases without creating unnecessary dependency at the service layer.
My view has been consistent: Cardano needs convenience without dependency. Treasury funding should help us move from relying too heavily on isolated services toward building shared ecosystem capacity. Leios fits that direction because it strengthens the base protocol and can create benefits across the whole ecosystem — for SPOs, builders, wallets, dApps, infrastructure providers, institutions, and users.
I also want to be transparent that I know Carlos Lopez de Lara personally, and I have a lot of respect for his leadership, technical depth, and educational contribution to the Cardano ecosystem. I see that as a positive signal for execution. At the same time, my vote is not based on personal relationship. My support is based on the proposal’s alignment with Cardano’s long-term needs, its contribution to the 2030 roadmap, and the importance of making scalability measurable and accountable.
Leios should not be seen as a magic solution that delivers adoption by itself. Adoption will still depend on many other pieces: wallets, developer tooling, liquidity, governance, education, institutional partnerships, and real-world integrations. But Leios can help provide the protocol-level capacity needed for those efforts to scale.
My YES vote also comes with clear expectations. This should not be treated as a blank check. I would expect transparent milestones, public benchmarks, testnet validation, SPO impact analysis, adversarial testing, ecosystem integration readiness, independent assurance, and clear reporting against the relevant 2030 KPIs.
I also understand that this proposal does not automatically mean mainnet activation. It funds the engineering, testing, validation, and hard-fork-enabling work needed to make future governance decisions more informed and credible.
On that basis, I support the proposal.
To me, this is the type of treasury investment Cardano should prioritize: measurable, protocol-level, ecosystem-wide, and focused on building long-term capacity for real-world adoption.

I shall continue to vote in favor of the Input Output Global (iOG formerly known as iOHK) proposals due to the fact that iOG has continuously year in and year out built, upgraded, innovated, and further strengthened the ecosystem through various market upheavals, negative press, and technological shifts. Through continuous efforts this cadre of developers, educators, various business persons, scientists, and experts in their fields have proven more than capable of the continued maintenance and innovation necessary to further the Cardano blackchain. I find value in all proposals from iOG until a suitable development group or lab can prove not only innovative, but evolutionary for the technology in which we all utilize and enjoy. The blockchain has survived based off of the creators of the protocol, we must continue the path set forth until we have a suitable substitute that can create viable upgrades and are capable of pushing the community and the blockchain into a realm of technological dominance I vote Yes for this proposal.Lourde Ouroborus Imperator Aeternalis

We really need more transaction capacity. Ouroboris/Leios is critical for Cardano to advance.
