I am voting YES on this proposal because it outlines a strong technical vision for Cardano, with clear priorities in scalability, modular architecture, L2 expansion, and developer experience. The roadmap demonstrates a deep understanding of the technological evolution needed to position Cardano at the forefront of blockchain innovation. The emphasis on Leios, Midgard, Peras, and modular node implementations is exactly what we need to ensure security, performance, and decentralization at scale. 🚀
However, a great product needs more than just technical excellence—it needs a clear commercial vision. While this roadmap lays the foundation for a powerful, scalable blockchain, it does not yet address where we want to take Cardano in the market, who we are building this for, and how we plan to communicate its value.
What’s Missing? A Commercial Vision I believe.
To truly drive adoption, we must define the strategic positioning of Cardano in the global blockchain economy:
Who are our primary users? Enterprise? Governments? DeFi users? Developers?
What problem are we solving for them? Scalability? Compliance? Cost-efficiency?
How do we market these innovations? We need a narrative around why Leios, Hydra, and AVS matter to real-world users.
How do we engage businesses and institutions? We should proactively work on business development strategies alongside this technical roadmap.
Right now, Cardano has some of the best technology in the space, but without a clear go-to-market strategy, the risk is that we build an amazing product that struggles to find adoption. We must complement this roadmap with a focused effort on adoption, partnerships, and commercial viability.

I’m excited for Cardano’s plans to increase liquidity with zero-knowledge proofs and introduce Babel Fees, making transactions more accessible without needing ADA initially. The L2 expansion with the AVS layer, alongside scaling Hydra and the Midgard rollup, will bring even more flexibility and efficiency to the platform. I’m also looking forward to faster transaction finality with Peras and an enhanced developer and user experience through improved tools, APIs, and decentralized services. The new programmable assets will unlock exciting use cases, and the focus on supporting multiple node implementations will make the network even more resilient and decentralized. As for the other upgrades, I’m excited for the scaling of L1, the Leios protocol, codebase optimization, and Mithril decentralization. Plus, I can’t wait to see the improvements to SPO incentives and the architectural excellence Cardano is striving for. 2025 is going to be big. Hi from the past.

Taking a high level view, the roadmap describes a comprehensive set of technical objectives that, if delivered upon, positions Cardano well going forward. To that end, I vote "Yes". That isn't to say that there are not valid criticisms of the proposal or that a full roadmap might not include additional information. For example, I'd like to see the roadmap include additional details around resources required and proposed milestones (i.e. more 'how'). I'd also like to see greater linkage between deliverables and intended end-user impact (i.e. more 'why'). My 'YES' vote is an endorsement of Intersect to continue building out this roadmap.

I'm voting 'No' on 'Defining the Cardano Vision and Roadmap for 2025 and beyond' for several reasons. 1. Formal: The Info action references a mutable document that may change at any time. This is not how on-chain voting should work. 2. Method: The action states that it wants to gather feedback by iterating during the lifetime of the action. This didn't happen and it also seems like a rather chaotic plan. 3. Content: It is unclear to me if a Yes would mean that everything on the roadmap and nothing that is not on the roadmap will be done. That would be too strict for my taste. I think some of the things on it are not that interesting and some are missing. But just a 'more or less okay' would not need a governance action. Hence: No.
