I support the proposal from Intersect’s Hard Fork Working Group to name Protocol Version 11 the “van Rossem Hard Fork” in memory of Max van Rossem.
Cardano has an established tradition of naming hard forks after significant historical figures and, more recently, respected community members who have made lasting contributions to the ecosystem. This includes upgrades such as Vasil hard fork, Valentine hard fork, Chang hard fork, and Plomin hard fork. Naming Protocol Version 11 after Max continues that precedent in a coherent and principled way.
Max’s contributions to Cardano governance were substantive. He played a meaningful role in shaping the Constitution, contributed to governance discussions and optimizations, and was integral to the election of the first fully elected Constitutional Committee. As a delegate at the Constitutional Convention in Buenos Aires. He also served as a DRep within the Dutch DRep Collective and worked to ensure his local community was actively represented in governance processes. Beyond governance, his founding of AdaMoments reflected a creative commitment to using Cardano as durable public infrastructure.
For these reasons, I will vote YES.

Max van Rossem's contributions were substantive and lasting. I first met Max in Nairobi. He was full of joy and life. Just one of those people with pure, pushful energy who pulled everyone along. At some point he was walking around with a tiny piece of paper asking people to sign their names for something. I honestly don’t even remember what it was for. I just remember thinking, “yeah, sure, whatever this guy is doing, I’m in,” and signing it. That was his spirit. He cared. And he moved things forward.. or at least he tried to.
Cardano has a long-standing tradition of naming upgrades after people who made meaningful contributions to the ecosystem. I believe Max was one of those people.
